Elite Excavation Services handles excavation and demolition in Morgan City, about 48 miles southeast of New Iberia on US 90. Morgan City sits behind a levee ring on the Atchafalaya River. The wall holds the river back. It does nothing for rain that pools on a low lot once the water is inside.

Morgan City grew up on shrimping and offshore oil and gas. Kerr-McGee drilled the first offshore well out of sight of land from this coast in 1947. The service yards along the river and Bayou Boeuf still carry that work. Those lots leave behind cracked slabs and buried pads that we pull out to get back to dirt.
Brush comes back fast in this climate. A lot that was open two summers ago is a thicket now. We clear lots, underbrush overgrown tracts and pull brush out by the roots. Stumps get dug out with the excavator instead of ground down.
