Shed demolition in New Iberia starts with a look at what you have and where it sits. We do garage demolition and barn demolition as well, plus carports, greenhouses and old chicken houses. The building comes down, the debris goes on the trailer, and the spot gets raked clean. Call (337) 201-0594 and we will come out and price it for free.
Metal carports, pole barns and metal buildings come down the same way. We bring compact excavators, a compact track loader and dump trailers, so the structure and the debris leave together. We cover New Iberia and the rest of Acadiana, from Abbeville up to Opelousas. A barn with brush grown up against it gets brush and underbrush clearing first.
Tell us about the job and we’ll get right back to you.
We look at the building with you first and check what sits around it. Anything you want to keep comes out before we start. We note where the water line, the septic tank and the power drop run. Fences and gates come into it too, because the machine needs a way in.
A compact excavator pulls the roof and the walls in toward the middle. The track loader pushes the pile together and loads it out. Tin and lumber go into roll-off containers or our dump trailers. The load leaves with us when the job is done.
The slab underneath is your call. We can leave it swept clean for a new building, or break it out and haul it. Breaking out a slab is concrete slab and driveway removal, and it adds time to the day. Broken concrete leaves on the trailer with the rest of the load.
Wet weather is hard on wood. NOAA puts Louisiana's long term average near 57 inches of rain a year. Sills rot and termites get into the bottom plate. A shed that leans one winter is usually worse the next.
Metal carports rust through at the legs where water stands. Storms bend the frames and peel the panels off the roof. Old barns sit where someone wants to build a house or a shop. A garage often comes down so the spot can be used for something else.
Once the spot is clear, the ground usually needs shaping. We can grade it flat and leave it ready to build on. Grading a pad for that new shop is house pad work, and leveling the rest of the yard is yard leveling. A building that has already fallen in is a different job, and that is storm debris and collapsed structures.
Inside the city, New Iberia requires a demolition permit for the structure. When the permit is issued you state how the construction debris will be disposed of. Outside the city limits, Iberia Parish runs its own permit office. We check which office covers your address before the job starts.
Louisiana's dig law counts wrecking or removing any building as demolition. Notice to Louisiana 811 goes in at least 48 hours ahead, and weekends and holidays do not count. Louisiana bans open burning of buildings, so nothing burns on your lot. Metal goes to a scrap yard and the rest to a construction and demolition landfill.
The state exempts residential buildings with four or fewer dwelling units from the asbestos inspection and notice. That exemption ends when the teardown is part of a planned commercial or public project. The rule does not name a detached garage or shed, so we ask LDEQ before we start. If material has to come out, an abatement contractor accredited by LDEQ does that part.
A metal carport or awning is a short job. The legs get cut loose and the frame comes down in sections. A pole barn takes longer because the posts are set in the ground. We pull the posts with the excavator and fill the holes.
We look at the job on site and give you a price before anything starts. A small shed usually comes down and gets hauled off the same day. A garage or a barn can run into a second day when the slab comes out. Rain can push a job back, since heavy clay holds water after a storm.
Power to a garage gets dropped by your electric utility before we start. A plumber or an electrician handles any line running to the building. When the building is gone, the yard gets raked and graded. Some people put grass back, and some want a gravel driveway or parking pad on the spot.

The machines do the work, debris gets hauled off, and the property is left graded and clean, ready for whatever comes next.

View DetailsCompact excavators and a track loader work in town lots, back yards and farm gates. Tight access rarely stops a job, and the ground takes less damage than it would under bigger machines.
We live and work here, so Iberia Parish and the towns around it are short runs. Estimates happen fast and the machines show up when the schedule says they will.
Teardown, stumps, dirt, culvert, driveway: the same outfit can carry a property from overgrown or condemned to pad-ready. One schedule and one number instead of four subcontractors.
We price after looking at the property, the access and the ground. You get a real number before work starts, and the site is left clean when it ends.
